When you pick up your rental, we take the time to ensure that you’re 100% comfortable and ready to ride. We review all of the safety features, teach you how to park and secure your scooter, and even show you the basics of driving. FAQ – Frequently asked questions

What kind of license do I need to rent a scooter?

You must have a valid state-issued driver’s license to rent a 49cc scooter. A motorcycle license is required for scooters 50cc and above.

How old do I need to be to rent a scooter?

You must be 18 years to rent a scooter. All passengers must be 16 or older.

Will you deliver my scooter to me?

Yes. Scooter Styles has two convenient locations and will deliver rentals throughout Miami Beach.

What if I’ve never ridden a scooter before?

No problem! When you pick up your rental, we review all of the safety features, teach you how to park and secure your scooter, and even show you the basics of driving.

Do I have to wear a helmet?

The State of Florida does not require a helmet, but we strongly encourage you to wear one. Passengers under 18 are required by law to wear a helmet.

What should I wear while riding a scooter?

For your safety and protection, we recommend a helmet, protective eyewear (sunglasses at a minimum), brightly colored clothes, and closed-toe shoes.

Do I have to fill the gas tank before returning the scooter?

The same way you get the scooter out.

What does my security deposit cover, and when will I get it back?

The refundable security deposit covers any damages, parking tickets, moving violations or any other incidents that occur while you are in possession of the scooter. The deposit will be refunded to your credit card within 2-3 days of the end of your rental.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel 24 hours or more before of your rental start date, there is no charge.
If you cancel less than 24 hours from your rental start date, there is a $x charge.

Do I get a refund if it rains?

No. Scooters can still be ridden in the rain; as with a car, please exercise caution when driving in wet conditions. If you choose to cancel your rental, our regular cancellation policy will apply.

Where can I park?

Scooter parking is abundant in Miami Beach, and you can park in any designated scooter or motorcycle spot at a business, on the street, or in a City of Miami Beach parking lot or garage.

How do I keep the scooter safe when parking?

First, never leave valuables on the scooter. Next, only park in designated scooter parking spots in well-lit, high-traffic areas. Finally, a steering lock and/or wheel chain can be used for added security.

What happens if the scooter breaks down?

Call us at 305-904-8085. One of our technicians will come to you and repair the scooter or exchange it if more extensive repairs are needed.

What kind of golf carts can I rent?

We offer the EZ GO L6 that fits 6 adults, the Prime Golf Cart that fits 2 adults, and the Hummer H3 Golf Cart that fits 4 adults.

Are your golf cart rentals street legal?

Yes. All of our golf carts have been lifted and made street legal. They have gas engines and can go on any road where the speed limit is 30mph or less.
